Music Notes:

Orchestra Practice - Sundays at 9:15 am. All instrumentalists are invited to join us as we practice and play along with our AM Song Service.

​

Choir Practice - Sunday, December 8 at 4:45 pm. The LOBC Choir will be singing at the Emmaus Baptist College Christmas Banquet in Brandon this Friday evening at 7 pm  - 542 S. Oakwood Ave. – Come enjoy!

Christmas Cantata - LOBC Choir will present: “Good News From Home”, Sunday Morning 12/22 at 11 am. Be sure to bring a guest or two!

Youth News:

​Treehouse Kids (2 yrs old – 5th grade) meet on Wednesday Nights at 7 pm. 

​​

ROOTED (6th - 12 grades) - Wednesday nights at 7 pm.

​

​Treehouse Kids Lock-In - Mark Your Calendars for December 13 & 14. THK will have their annual lock-in from 5:30 pm – 8:00 am so get ready for a night of food, fun, hanging out with your friends, learning the reason for the Christmas season and lots more! Be sure to invite a friend or two!

​

Rooted Christmas Party - Our next activity will be our Christmas party on Wednesday night, December 18. Mark it on your calendars and invite a friend. If you are able, please bring a gift for our white elephant gift exchange. Food and games will be provided.

Faith Comes by Hearing - In the month of December we are partnering with Faith Comes by Hearing, looking to reach a God-sized goal of recording the Bible in every language of the world by 2033 to help fulfill the Great Commission! A generous donor will match everything collected in December.

​

Goodtimers: The Winter Park/Scrooge Musical Show trip is Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Please arrive at the church no later than 9:15 A.M. ready to board the bus. The bus will leave promptly at 9:30 am, and depending on the traffic, we should arrive back at Lone Oak approximately 5:30-6 pm. We will have lunch at the Mission Inn at Howey-in-the-Hills from 11 am to 12:30 pm, then travel to Winter Park for the musical starting at 2 pm and ending at 4:15 pm. You might want to wear or bring a sweater; it could be cold in the theater.

​

Poinsettias sign-up sheet is in the foyer. If you would like to purchase one or two in Honor/Memory of someone, they are $6 each.

​​

We are still taking those old Christmas trees for VBS “True North” next year! If you would like to donate any size tree for VBS decorations, bring them and we will store them in the kids castle. Thank you in advance.
